Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the SISU mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SISU. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the App.
Description of Service
SISU is operated by Ekte, based in Canada.
SISU is a wellness application that provides tools for:
- Guided breathing exercises (paced, box, and cyclic breathing)
- Cold exposure session tracking
- Heat exposure (sauna) session tracking
- Progress monitoring and session history
- Optional heart rate monitoring via Apple HealthKit integration
Health Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: SISU is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
Before beginning any breathing, cold exposure, or heat exposure practice:
- Consult with a qualified healthcare provider
- Ensure you understand the risks associated with these practices
- Stop immediately if you experience discomfort, dizziness, or other adverse effects
- Do not practice in unsafe environments (e.g., while driving, in water unsupervised)
Cold and heat exposure can be dangerous for individuals with certain health conditions including, but not limited to, cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, pregnancy, and certain medications. Always seek professional medical advice.
Device Safety
Users are responsible for ensuring that their device is used within safe environmental conditions. SISU is not responsible for damage to devices resulting from exposure to extreme temperatures or environments. Do not bring your iPhone into saunas, steam rooms, or cold plunge areas.
User Conduct
You agree to use the App responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Circumvent any security features of the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the App while operating vehicles or machinery
Subscriptions & Payments
SISU offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features are available through in-app purchase subscriptions.
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
Refunds
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by SISU and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- SISU is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- SISU is not liable for any injury, harm, or adverse health effects resulting from use of the App
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
